As you can see by the statistics on the left side of this
page, law enforcement agencies and the FBI are
overwhelmed with missing person reports and investigations. With
less than 7% of people being found, don’t rely on the efforts
of law enforcement alone when your loved one is missing.
In most cases if your loved one is not found within one week, the
general consensus from law enforcement is they are probably
already dead. This means incrementally they don’t actively search
and simply wait to get a new lead or tip to follow up on.
